First Essayan 25 Rub stamp with cancellations Erivan ‘д’(‘d’) and Alexandropol ‘ж’ (‘zhe’) and missed ‘4’ gold kop overprint
Lot 2193
The condition of the items is shown on the images and indicated in the description of the lot below.

The overprints ‘4’ kop were put on 25 Rub stamps always in the center or lower part of the stamps, never in the upper part of the stamp. It is most likely that this stamp was put in circulation during the first 3 months of 1922 when 25 Rub stamps were revalued to 1500 Rub used by the post without ‘4’ kop overprints. No more than 5-6 stamps without surcharge ‘4’ kop are known. Extremely rare.
Condition: Used
Period: 1920-1939
