Mailed 1 Day after the German Declaration of War on Russia. A second Warsaw Cancellation in Red-Violet dated 23.7.14 (Julian Calendar) / 05.8.14 (Gregorian Calendar) indicates that the Postcard was not forwarded to Zoppat, Danzig, but returned to the Sender under new Procedures imposed by Russian Military Censorship

Postal instructions: red-violet straightline marking (62mm) reading, return to sender
