The leading stamp auction house in the Czech Republic

Burda Auction is the international auction house with more than 20 years of experience which has developed over the time into the Czech´s leading auction house for rare stamps and postal history. Every year, three or four major international auctions are held in its own auction room in the capital city of Prague. With an annual auction turnover of more than 2 million Euro, Burda Auction is the largest stamp auction house in the Czech Republic and important player on the Central Europe philatelic market.

Since 2012, Burda Auction, has held several important single vendor auctions of famous collectors of Czechoslovakia, such as Mr. Gerhard Hanacek (AUT), Tönnes Ore (NOR), Georg Wilhelms (GER), Robert Alexa (CZE) or Břetislav Pour (CZE).

In 2017-2018 the largest existing stamp collection of interwar Czechoslovakia 1918-1939 assembled by Mr. Ludvík Pytlíček was sold in four specialized auctions. During the final sale of this magnificent collection, Burda Auction established a record auction price for a single Czechoslovak stamp, when it sold the Coat of Arms 4K on granite paper with inverted overprint POŠTA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ 1919 for 370,000 Euro.
